News reaching Insight Kenya has been confirmed that ODM and PNU have agreed to form a coalition government. There has been reports of excitement in the capital Nairobi and chief mediator Koffi Annan will be updating news agencies in a short while. I am cautiously optimistic with the current turn of events. I still believe that the root cause of the problems facing Kenya today must be resolved inorder to attain the long term solutions. This should not be a pacification process but should atleast resolve the most disturbing unequal distribution of resources and infrastructure around the country. ,Justice, Peace and Reconcilation should also be pursued. This is relatively speaking good news. Hopefully those who have lost homes, property and loved ones can try to rebuild their lives. Very many Kenyans will remain traumatized and impoverished.
I have no faith in any of the criminals in government be they ODM or PNU or whatever.
I have no faith in the criminal police force nor the criminals who man the courts.
I call on the Kenyan business community in the Diaspora!
This is the time to work harder than you ever have! Make as much money as you can and let us sponsor children in Kenya, build local clinics for the rural poor, donate money to help somebody to buy their medicine for a year.
